AREA21 is an electronic music duo created by Martin Garrix & American singer "Maejor" , the duo is based on Dance, Trap and Future Bass. Area 21 out as an anonymous project, but after a few weeks it was discovered that it was a project of Martin Garrix together with Maejor. His first single was "Spaceships" which was played for the first time at UMF 2016, with this release it was learned that Garrix was part of the group, but who was accompanying him was still unknown. Their second single "Girls" was released for free by STMPD RCRDS. After more than a year since the formation of the group, the identity of the second part of the project was still not known, but thanks to ASCAP, it was possible to confirm that the second part of this duo was the rapper Maejor. After a break of more than a year, in June 2017 the duo released their third single entitled "We Did It", which was the official song of the "YouTube Live at E3",although the single had already been released. been played at various festivals such as the Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2016 and 2017 and at Tomorrowland Belgium 2016. In an interview at the end of 2020, Martin Garrix announced the release of an AREA21 album, which would initially be released in March 2021, but it wasn't until April that they started releasing singles, reaching a total of 6 before the end of the year. album release.
